Duane Daniell has a history of reaching for the sky. The son of 2 pilots, Duane grew up building experimental aircraft with his parents at home. A life long rockhound and mineral collector, he took up faceting or gemstone cutting in 1993. His hobby of many years became a passion and Duane created Daniell Crafts and Gems in Venice, Florida in 2002. Duane has expanded his crafts to include glass. Fused, slumped, flameworked, cold worked, copper enameling, and more. Soft glass flameworking now for 3 years, Duane is now working in hard glass (Borosilicate) as he continues to reach for the sky.
