Western MassachusettsJeremy Sinkus has been working with glass since 1998, but not as his first art medium.
Metals and stone were the main passions Jeremy followed until he found borosilicate glass.
Jeremy is an avid mineral collector and miner which has brought him to digging
and exhibiting minerals all over the country, and has now incorporated this passion
into his glass. With these influences you can see the influence of opals and jaspers in his coloring.
The many aquatic themes are influenced by years spent fishing the new England coast and scuba diving
the waters of Massachusetts and reefs in the Caribbean. Jeremy is primarily self taught, which
has given him the ability to develop a unique style, until recently studying with great glass
Artists such as Sally Prasche and Milon Townsend to further develop his technique.
