My wife and I have been planning a trip to New Zealand this November for a long time now. Last month I started looking online to see what the lampworking scene was like down there. I quickly realized there wasnt to much going on with borosilicate glass, at least what I could find online. I did find one distributor who is selling Glass Alchemy colors in a town north of Auckland. Seeing that they had a teaching facility on hand I offered to do a demonstration. They Accepted and I will be giving a free demo in Whangarei at Annie Rose on November the 8th. Just caught wind of a glass art auction from Dave’s school, pilchuck, going on in seattle - Oct 30th, 10 pm E/9pm C. They said it will be broadcast live via auctionnetwork.com, along with a tool that lets Internet viewers to bid remotely against the floor. -- nice for me, cause I’m out of state! I hope you and your wife have a WONDERFUL TIME !!!!!!!!! I have always thought New Zeland would be a great place to visit. I am soooooooooooooooooo jealous.. hehehehe. Who knows you may start a trend down there!!!

My youngest brother, who lives in Australia has told me that New Zealand is a beautiful place. Unfortunately, I have never been there, but please post a blog on your trip (with pictures!), so we can see what we have been missing. Good luck with the demo over there.
