Cupertino, CaliforniaAfter careers as a hairstylist/make-up artist, educational design and management, organizational development and training, and eight years of glass beadmaking as a hobby, in 2000, Kathleen decided to pursue the glass arts in earnest. She studied at Pilchuck Glass School three summers in a row and launched down the path of her current work - flameworked botanical sculpture. Kathleen is engaged in two bodies of work encompassing representational botanical sculpture and imaginary botanical forms. These works express Kathleen's life-long love of plant life and her over twenty years of study in philosophy and spirituality. Kathleen currently studies Art at De Anza College, resides and operates a studio in Cupertino, CA, while happily married and raising a family of five children.
