    Born in 1940. At school, I took up watercolor and later, oil painting, charcoal drawing and fretwork .. I started glass engraving in 1997.
    I experimented extensively while working on both flat glass as well as tableware. The glass engravings, which I have done include portraits, landscapes, animals, floral designs and old sculptures. .

    Exhibitions:- I had my first one-man show in Pune, India, in 1990, where I presented one of my unique creation; three-dimensional decorative lamps. I was invited to participate in a state level exhibition of art by the Bountiful Hand Cart Days Art Committee, Utah, USA, in the year 2004. I won the second prize in the Amateur category in 3D Variations for my glass engraving “This Is The Place”.
    I participated in the Frabel Novice Award Competition in the year 2008. My work Khajuraho Temple was nominated as, one of the three finalists.

Hi Cath,

Thanks to you and the great encouragement by you to enter the competition. I did just what you suggested, took a deep breath and started the work in the US and completed it after my return to India.

Well, I don't know if I have been able to do something breathtaking as expected by you, but as you know, I have been nominated for the novice award.

Now it is upto the members to vote for me. I do hope for the whole hearted support of all the members of this forum.

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I hope you entered the contest. I was last, last minute. The piece i wanted to enter, I was not able to finish in time :(... Oh well there is always next year. How are you doing???????
